Apnea is holding your breath for a long time.

Surf Apnea is holding your breath underwater for a long time during a wipe-out.

After teaching Surf Apnea Clinics for a few years in a row, we have been working to make Surf Apnea 2.0 possible.

What is the difference?

Since we've practiced static apnea in the pool before, you can focus on how to catch your breath underwater for longer once you get wiped out.

Now let's get a little closer to reality.

We start with the static surf apnea and end with a multi-hold-down exercise with wipe-out simulations.

Can I attend Surf Apnea 2.0 even if I haven't done Surf Apnea 1.0 yet?

Yes, that's possible.

Although, if you've done Surf Apnea 1.0 before, you'll see faster progress because you know the trick. In the clinic we will first repeat static apnea.

Then we'll dig deeper into practicing c02 buildup in the body and brief recovery for multiple hold-downs.

I don't feel like surfing big waves, is this clinic for me?

It's not about the size of the wave, it's about YOU becoming more comfortable in the water.

So, yes, if you feel like being more comfortable in the water, this will help you.

I'm happy for people who master big waves. Because it means their fear limits are very high and often involves many hours in the water starting surfing at a young age. Unfortunately, not everyone started surfing at the age of 5 and grew up in a place like Hawaii. Feeling comfortable in the ocean doesn’t always come naturally. Expanding your comfort zone in safe conditions makes you more comfortable in the ocean and allows you to take more risks to make progress in surfing.
